Testimony of the Week
Each week I will be posting a new testimony from one of our clients at LIFE Recovery Association. These are inspirational stories of real lives that have come through a difficult journey and are on their way toward healing!
Celine’s story…
Before: The problem was I felt that if I did not stop drinking I would die, it was coming. I felt hopeless, helpless, just existing. My attitude was just out of control.
What led you to LIFE Recovery?? I had people that reached out, would not give up on me, and told me if I went to LIFE Recovery it would change my life and I knew that somewhere I was worth it. I got my apartment packed up and brought my cats to my man’s place and he drove me to LIFE.
What has changed? Today I must say it was the best thing that I could everhave listened to because my bleliefs, my attiude is changing and my thoughts are totally with my God and the respect that I have for myself and others.

Dinner / Dance / Auction Fundraiser, Back to the 80’s!!!
Welcome back to the 80’s!! Do you remember leg warmers over jeans? Pac Man? How about E.T., Flashdance, Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, acid washed jeans,Reebok hightops, or stirrup pants? Then you’re going to LOVE this!!! LIFE Recovery Association will be hosting a 80’s Retro dinner/dance/auction on October 29th at the Ramada Plaza and Conference Centre in Abbotsford. We will be featuring Vancouver’s HOTTEST 80’s house band, Dr. Strangelove! Currently we are looking for both sponsorship and auction items. Please contact LIFE Recovery at 604-855-4400 if you are interested in contributing (tax receipts will be given). Stay posted as more details will be posted as they become available.
Golf Tournament
BC Hatching Eggs is once again hosting a Golf Tournament for LIFE Recovery Association. The Tournament will be held on September 17th. Sponsor a hole and have your name or company name displayed for all of the golfers!! Please see attached brochure ( golf tournament). All of the proceeds from the hole sponsorships go towards LIFE Recovery Association.
Fundraiser Success!
On June 10, 2010 we hosted a dessert fundraiser with guest speaker Joe Roberts, The Skid Row CEO. We also had two former clients share there testimonies and how their time at LIFE Recovery helped to turn their lives around. We are so grateful to both women who shared their testimonies, as well as Joe’s powerful message of hope. Thank you for those who attended and took some time to learn about what LIFE Recovery is all about!
I would encourage you to check our website regularly for future upcoming events. We are currently working on having something community oriented later this summer.
We are also working towards filling our 9,000 monthly shortfall and I want to encourage you to consider how you could come along side us as we continue to invest in the lives of those who are in need of help. There is no donation too small!! (or too big ( ; )
